Ann Summers Couples Mega Set Review

I'm letting you know from the get-go, this is a couple's set (Couples Mega Toy Set) but it's just me myself and I reviewing it so if you're after a review from a couple, unfortunately, my single ass can't provide that for you. I'm not going to lie I'm writing this review while I'm grumpy as fuck and yes it is because of the set. If you're after spending £100 on a vibrator that sounds like a jackhammer this set is for you, just be warned you won't be cumming quietly. 

Before I get into the actual reviewing of the toys I'll tell you what's actually included in the set first. There's a mix of toys and combinations with 9 different pieces to choose from. It includes a vibrator, vibrating butt plug, anal beads, a clitoral stimulator, rabbit and nodule sleeves for the vibrator and a rippled dildo, along with jiggle balls and a rubber cock ring. So even though it's advertised towards couples the set definitely includes enough to have a good time by yourself. 

Now onto the actual review and if you can't tell already I'm a little disappointed. Usually, Ann Summers is great for sex toys, affordable and good quality but in this case, I just don't think it was that great. The main piece in the set is the vibrator, which also comes with two sleeves to change it up a little. When I say the vibrator sounds like a jackhammer, I'm not even being remotely dramatic it's the loudest sex toy I've ever owned, and we all know I've had a lot. When I read that the vibrator took type c batteries I'm not going to lie I was looking forward to it arriving because we all know that if a vibrator needs batteries that big it's going to have some force to it. Now it has got some force to it and if it was a bit quieter it would have easily been my favourite vibrator but the amount of noise this thing makes just ruins the entire experience. I have a playlist I listen to when I'm having some along time or I'll watch porn and the vibrator was so loud I had to wear headphones or my neighbours would hate me, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my neighbours could hear how loud the vibrator was, probably thought I was doing some DIY. 

I did try the vibrator with the different sleeves hoping it would help with the noise but it didn't help at all, I think the reason it's so loud is because the vibrators feel plastic and the batteries definitely move around a little when it's on making it really noisy. Using the sleeves on the vibrator without it actually being turned on is good, the sleeves are both really good. I preferred the textured sleeve out of the two, it's just a shame it isn't a relaxing experience when you have the vibrator turned on. The vibrator is a decent size so when you put the sleeves on it it's just like using an average size dildo, if you do buy the set at least you can see use it and not have to deal with the noise. 

On to some of the other pieces from the set, were going to talk about the butt stuff now. Let's start with the anal beads if you've not used them before I wouldn't say this is a good starter set. This set has 8 beads on so they aren't exactly small for someone new to it but if you've used them before and enjoyed them its a decent size. The next butt thing is the vibrating butt plug, if I'm being completely honest I usually find butt stuff boring so after the disappointment of the vibrator I thought this entire set was going to be a disappointment but I was pleasantly surprised. The size of it is good for anyone, including people who haven't used anything like this before. It also has a nice vibration to it and unlike the vibrator, it doesn't sound like a drill it's actually pretty quiet. If you are going to buy this set and try out these toys don't forget to use a good thick lube to make the experience pleasurable. I recommend ann summers booty relax lube, it includes peppermint which relaxes you along with ann summers special blend which is supposed to enhance libido, intensify orgasms and increase sexual pleasure. 

My favourite bit from the set has to be the little clit simulator, it comes with 5 different heads and can be set at different levels when you turn it on. This one is also pretty quiet and small but has some good power to it, its a good starter toy for introducing toys into sex with your partner or just playing solo. 

So to round up the review, do I think it's worth the money? no, maybe when it's on sale I'd buy it but for the £100, I just don't think it's worth it. I had such high hopes from this because the review on Ann Summers website are really good but it just didn't live up to the reviews. The vibrator is the main part of the set and I just can't get over how loud it is, the quality just needs to be better. If I was to recommend any by themselves I would definitely recommend the butt plug or the clit stimulator.
